1 1/2 C fresh lemon juice (about 7 lemons)
1 1/2 C sugar
8 C water
mint leaves (optional)
Start off by making simple syrup, boil one cup of water with the sugar until it dissolves. Pour simple syrup into beverage container and chill for about a half hour. Add water, mint leaves and serve.
To juice the lemons, I just slice them in half width-wise and use a hand juicer. Also, if you don’t have time to chill the simple syrup, just substitute two cups of ice for one cup of water.
